The challenge for artisan trades in Spain

Throughout my years as an architect, I have been fortunate to work alongside many artisans: carpenters, blacksmiths, marble workers, upholsterers... People who with their hands transform matter into art.
But I have also seen how many trades that are part of our cultural identity are slowly disappearing.
That's why this project was born: to give value to contemporary craftsmanship and create a bridge between those who design, manufacture and love objects with soul.
At Diago Home we create unique furniture together with local artisans and dedicate part of our profits to scholarships that help train the next generation of creators.
This is not just a furniture store. It's the beginning of a movement that seeks to restore to design and craftsmanship the leading role they should never have lost.

Diago Home Scholarships

Faced with this challenge, Diago Home was born with the mission of preserving and dignifying artisan trades in Spain, and training a new generation of master craftsmen.
To this end, we launched the "Diago Home Scholarships", a program to train apprentices, collaborating with the IES León Felipe of Torrejón de Ardoz, financing and facilitating access and part of the learning of these young talents.

Cabinetmaker

Wood as a legacy:

In workshops in Madrid and Toledo, where the smell of wood coexists with the calm of a job well done, our cabinetmakers continue a craft that has been passed down from generation to generation.
Raised among wood shavings and carpenter's benches, they learned from a young age to read the grain, to let each plank speak and to respect the timing of the wood.
Today, that inherited knowledge merges with contemporary design to create unique pieces, handcrafted with precision and sensitivity. Because in each piece of furniture there is more than just function: there is history, technique, and a way of understanding beauty from its essence.

Marble worker

The soul of the stone

From the bowels of the earth, where the sun warms the veins and time has chiseled landscapes of marble and natural stone, the work of our marble worker is born.
He knows every vein, every shade, and how to bring out the best in materials that have lain underground for centuries. His craft, learned over the years and passed down from generation to generation, combines technique, precision, and respect for the raw material. Because in every surface there is not only design, but geological memory, the heritage of the land, and a wisdom that knows no bounds.

Upholsterer

Hands that dress in comfort

In the upholstery workshops on the outskirts of Madrid, the work is done by hand, with the patience and precision that only experience can provide.
These are family businesses where the art of upholstery has been passed down through generations, preserving techniques that stand the test of time. There, every stitch, every fold, every fabric chosen tells a story of care, craftsmanship, and sensitivity.
They are the ones who shape comfort, enveloping our pieces with fine textiles and expertise, so that each sofa not only looks good, but feels like a place you always want to return to.
